Wrongful Death - our firm brought suit on behalf of the estate of a construction superintendent against a delivery company, its driver, and the company responsible for the maintenance of the delivery truck when a heavy load of doors fell from the truck's liftgate. The matter was concluded with the payment of a cash settlement to the estate totaling $2,850,000.
Products liability - sued the manufacturer and distributors of steel making equipment when a malfunction led to serious burn injuries to our steel worker client. Manufacturer settled the claim with a cash and structured settlement valued at over $1 Million.
Automobile Accident - Case involving a high speed intersection accident in the North Carolina Outer Banks in which our firm successfully sued the offending driver and his mechanical contractor employer for damages and negligence. We secured a cash and structured settlement arrangement with the contractor’s insurance company worth $450,000.
Slip and Fall - A copier sales representative, slipped and fell in drywall dust in the foyer of a Hampton office building. Subsequent investigation revealed negligence on the part of the building owners, management and the contractor. The case settled on the eve of trial for more than $260,000.
